Hello, everyone! My name is Jonas Jonasson, author of the novel the 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared. Today, I'm going to tell you all a bit about myself so we can all get to know each other. First, let's start with the basics.
My name is Jonas Jonasson, born as Par-Ola Jonas Jonasson. I was born on July 6, 1961 and I am now still currently living (I'd hope). I was born in Sweden, but I later moved to a small town in Switzerland. However, I've moved back to my home in Sweden on an island in the countryside with my son.
I have a great career as a media consultant, journalist, television producer, and author. I am married to a mixed-race Norwegian woman, and she was with me when I had moved to Switzerland.
Some may wonder why I decided to write the 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared. Well, I started with the centenarian because I fell in love with the title.
I am the son of a nurse and an ambulance driver, who I love dearly. As I grew up, I began to study the Spanish and Swedish language at the University of Gothenburg. I started out as a journalist for a newspaper and eventually moved on to a media company. I worked extremely hard and it payed off. I founded my own media company which gained up to 100 employees. Unfortunately, due to medical reasons, I had to sell my company.
